Ganga, Guided by Her Guardians

She wonders…

Is she running toward

or running away,

or caught somewhere in between?

She asks,

Am I a continuum, a bridge, a becoming?

She searches for answers,

a calling, perhaps,

a subtle cue.

But all she hears is noise.

Until, slowly,

she learns to turn it down

to soften the clamor

of everything outside.

And then…

a whisper.

Faint at first,

just beyond understanding.

She ignores it.

She resists.

But the voice keeps returning,

louder, closer.

She closes her eyes.

Listens.

A sign begins to form,

gently urging her forward

to move through the fear,

so she can reach

the edge of the rainbow.
